By popular demand, a second blackwork sampler to complement our Elizabethan Sampler.

This design incorporates a full alphabet and a number of traditional motifs and borders, including a typical "boxer" border band.

The finished sampler can be personalised to include your own name and the year of completion (full details of how to do this is supplied with chart).

Skill rating:
Although best suited to an embroiderer with some skill and experience, anyone with an good eye for detail and accuracy could take up the challenge of this piece.

Size:
On 28 count fabric (over two threads) the stitched area measures 12.5" x 16.1" (32cm x 41cm).

Stitches used:
Cross stitch, backstitch, French knots.
Please note: design requires a substantial amount of backstitching.

We recommend working this on an evenweave or linen fabric.

Chart pack includes charted alphabet & numerals, instructions and a separate graph sheet for you to add your own initials and the date to the pattern.
