A beautiful traditional style sampler with a thoughtful verse:

The design incorporates a number of borders, several motifs, the verse and an alphabet using just 10 lovely shades of DMC thread and pretty seed beads.

The finished sampler incorporates the initials of the stitcher and the year of completion. Chart pack includes everything needed to personalise the design with your own details.

Skill rating:
Includes some simple sawtooth Satin Stitch borders. Would suit an embroiderer with some experience, but a beginner could also attempt this project with confidence as all stitches are easy to work (no partial stitches). Full instructions for working are supplied in the chartpack.

Size and materials:
On 28 count fabric (over two threads) the stitched area measures 11.4" wide by 14.3" high (36cm x 29cm) and uses 10 different colours of DMC stranded cotton and pearl seed beads.

We recommend working this on an evenweave or linen fabric.

Stitches used:
Cross stitch (no partial stitches), backstitch, satin stitch.
